Traffic going up north was at a stand still so we made a detour and found this pizza place. The pizza was amazing, the place as clean and had interesting locals. Just may become a routine stop...;)

Don't ever ask for bell peppers on your pizza. They gave me pickled bell peppers, which looked terribly disgusting. There was no manager and the chef was absolutely rude. The waitress was confused and she was not helpful and ugly. Going back to the bell peppers, It gave me E. coli. Your better off going to Ron's grocery store across the street and buy yourself a frozen Digiornio's pizza.

Family and I traveling from Munds Park to Phoenix and stopped to use the restroom which was very clean.. And we ordered fried zucchini and the meat lovers pizza, and both were delish! Very hot and fresh out of the oven. Very friendly and great service! We will be stopping here again next time.

We were coming home to Phoenix on the 17 when we ran into the usual early Sunday evening traffic jam that typically occurs, so we decided to turn off and find somewhere to eat while we waited it out. There's a sign on the exit that said Beni's pizza and since we were thinking pizza for dinner anyways, we thought we'd check it out. Our server was very friendly and prompt. She got us our drinks and took our order of a medium veggie pizza and some fried zucchini. The zucchini came out first and was nicely breaded, hot, and crispy. The pizza was pretty good as well and definitely hit the spot. By the time we were done, the traffic was significantly better than what it was and so if we're ever faced with the same situation again (most likely), it's nice to know that Beni's is here to help us wait it out.

I was lucky I didn't get food poisoning or diarrhea after trying the food. Otherwise, the experience was just terrible. My Philly cheese steak came with rotten meat. The waitress took it back but said that she and the chef tried my sandwich and it was fine. After requesting a different meal she brought me wings instead. They were not rotten, but were still bland and tasteless. Would never recommend eating here unless your toilet can take a punch.

We came into Blk Cyn City thinking we were going to eat at the Bylers Amish Kitchen, to my dismay, it is now a pizza joint. As it turns out, they serve more then just pizza. Our waitress, Amanda, was very prompt in getting our drinks and very helpful with recommendations on the menu (as well as putting up with my million questions). I had the parmesan chicken and my hubby had the meat calzone. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the chicken was NOT a frozen battered breast thrown into a deep fryer, but a hand cut, nicely prepared, hand dipped generous piece of meat. You can tell right away that this food was "home cooked" from scratch. We both very much enjoyed our meals and will be back again to try some more yummy food.

Beni's has moved from their old location. They are now across from the shell station. Bigger place, more beer on tap and more seating!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband and I are visiting his grandpa who lives in the area and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. It was coming up on 8pm on a Saturday night and we noticed almost everything closes in this town relatively early. I called up Benis Pizza since it was walking distance and it rang a few times and all of a sudden I hear "We're either really busy or we're closed, call back tomorrow!" and then it disconnects. I thought maybe it was an answering machine. I call back a few minutes later incase they were too busy to answer their phone. Someone answers the phone and says "Benis pizza" and I said "Hi, how late are you guys open til tonight?" The lady responds "we're closed!" all loud and rude and then just hangs up on me! We ended up going to Chilleen's on 17 since they stayed open until 10pm. Our server there was so friendly and welcoming and even she couldn't believe how rude they were to someone who could have been customers. I wasn't mad that they were closed, I was upset by how rude they talk to people. This place will never get mine, my husband's or his grandpa's business. We'll stick to Rock Springs Cafe and Chilleen's where we feel more welcomed.

Basic pizza done very well. We stopped here on a drive from Phoenix to flagstaff. They had a surprisingly good pizza considering the small town in Arizona. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a bite to grab while on the road.

I've lived in Sedona for 3 years and I love pizza. There are a couple of decent pizza places in the area, most notably Famous Pizza, but there aren't any exceptional pizza places nearby. Beni's is the best I've found. It's about an hour from where I live but it's a great pit stop on my way to/from Phoenix. As Brett W. posted, this isn't exceptional pizza but it is good. I occasionally drive down *just* for it but that has more to do with me than with the pizza. Sometimes I want something better than Famous Pizza and Beni's is better enough that sometimes it's worth the drive. It may be not be exceptional compared to what I can get east of the Mississippi but it *is* exceptional in this region. Even by the standards set by my travels Beni's is good, solid pizza and in this region that's hard to come by.

They call their pizza "New York style" and it is New York-ish. When you consider that you're in the middle of the Arizona desert in a two-horse town of 2,697 people, you can easily appreciate the presence of such an establishment. The crust wasn't quite perfect and the cheese needs major improvement (think Domino's... the old Domino's before they started advertising that they use "real cheese"), but because of where this place is (there aren't even any fast food outlets in Black Canyon City), I'm giving it three solid stars.
